Practice

Founded in 2016, Jack Carter Architects is a London based design studio with an international experience and outlook. Our work ranges in scale from small domestic commissions to complex mixed-use developments.

After graduating from The Bartlett School of Architecture in 1999, Jack joined the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris where he remained for seventeen years as an associate leading a variety of internationally recognised projects. These included The New York Times Building, The News Building in London, Shard Place in London and Jurassica, a palaeontological museum in a disused quarry on the Isle of Portland. JCA continue to collaborate with RPBW on Shard Place.

We have a rich and varied experience of delivering complex, finely crafted projects. This experience provides a strong technical foundation and knowledge base for the practice. JCA are currently working on a new campus for the Santander Bank in Liverpool, a community hub building in Cape Town, South Africa and a number of private pavilions in the UK.

Jack is a registered architect and a member of the Southwark Design Review Panel.
